Gitana West Adams was born from a passion for Mediterranean cuisine and a desire to create a gathering space that celebrates community, culture, and exceptional food.
Founded in 2022 by Chef Shireen Imani, our restaurant brings together traditional cooking techniques from across the Mediterranean with locally-sourced California ingredients to create a unique dining experience in the heart of West Adams.
Our name "Gitana," meaning "gypsy" in Spanish, reflects our culinary journey across the diverse regions of the Mediterranean, from Morocco to Lebanon, Spain to Greece, bringing together the best flavors and traditions.
